2015 Jaguar F-Type Coupe Prices

The 2015 Jaguar F-Type Coupe will have a starting price of $65,000 — while the top-of-the-range F-Type R Coupe will start at $99,000.

A mid-range S version will go on sale with a MSRP of $77,000. The R version, a surprise release at the 2013 Los Angeles Motor Show, boasts a 550hp 5-liter supercharged V8 engine. It can do 0-60mph in just 4.0 seconds, with an electronically limited top speeed of 186mph.

Meanwhile the v6-engined F-Type and F-Type S produce 340hp and 380hp respectively, and top speeds of 161mph and 171mph. The standard F-Type can do 0-60mph in 5.1 seconds, while the F-Type S can do it in 4.8 seconds.

The F-Type V8 S, which was unveiled last year, can manage 495hp,  doing 60mph in 4.2 seconds and goes up to an electronically limited top speed of 186mph

The 2015 F-Type Coupe is set to go on sale in North America in spring 2014. All models feature eight-speed quickshift transmission, and are built on a riveted, all-aluminum frame.

Silver-coloured 20in Gyrodyne wheels come as standard, while dark grey “diamond-turned” ones can be added as an extra. Optional carbon ceramic matrix braking systems will also be available on the F-Type R, pictured below, V8 S and S models to optimise stopping power.

Jaguar says the 2015 F-Type Coupe has enough room in the trunk to fit two sets of golf clubs.

The roof can be either all-aluminum or with glass panels, and the rear-end features a hidden spoiler with rises as the car accelerates past 70mph before dropping again when the car slows to below 50mph.

All the models have an intelligent stop-start system which turns off the engine when the car is at a standstill. Fuel efficiency figures have not yet been confirmed by the manufacturer.

The British firm’s director of design Ian Callum said: “Creating a sports coupe is the purest of design tasks and also the most challenging; get it right and aesthetically the result will be as dynamic as the car should be rewarding to drive. In the F-TYPE Coupe, I believe we’ve got it right.”
